Alta, Wasatch National Forest - Utah
Alta is not only one of my favorite places in the state of Utah but around the world. During the winter this high alpine environment is home to some of the best powder skiing on the face of the earth, averaging more than 500 inches of snow each year. During the summer this incredible place comes to life. Every square inch of A, Utahlbion Basin fills with the beautiful sight of high alpine wildflowers. One of the highlight events of the summer is the Alta Wildflower festival which occurs during the last weekend of July each year. The images below were taken during 2015 in the weeks leading up to the wildflower festival.
